Web3county Limited ("Volt Terminal", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Volt Terminal mobile application and website at voltterminal.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and your rights in relation to it.

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Web3county Limited is a company registered in England and Wales. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Web3county Limited is the data controller.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Stripe: When you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. We receive a Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing interval. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles all card data under their own PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure.

We require all sub-processors to process data only on our instructions and to maintain appropriate security measures.

We may also disclose your data if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Web3county Limited, our users, or others.

When you delete your account through the app, we initiate immediate deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations noted above). Terminal infrastructure is deprovisioned within 24 hours.


6. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

  • All passwords and PINs are hashed using bcrypt before storage — we cannot recover them in plain text.
  • All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS.
  • Sensitive credentials (e.g., Telegram bot tokens) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.


7. Cookies and Tracking

The Volt Terminal mobile app does not use browser cookies. However, we use the AppsFlyer SDK within the app to collect analytics and referral attribution data. AppsFlyer may use device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) in accordance with AppsFlyer's own privacy policy.

You can opt out of AppsFlyer tracking by adjusting your device's advertising settings (e.g., "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS, "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" on Android).


8. International Data Transfers

Web3county Limited is based in the United Kingdom. Some of our sub-processors are located in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs) or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with relevant parties.
  • Transfers to countries with an adequacy decision by the UK Secretary of State.

9. Children

The Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at info@voltterminal.com and we will delete it promptly.


10. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

11. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to inform you about terminal status changes, billing events, security alerts, and system updates. You can manage your notification preferences at any time within the app under Settings → Notification Preferences, or by disabling notifications entirely through your device's system settings.


12. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account in the app. Upon deletion:

  • Your personal data is removed from our active systems within 30 days.
  • All terminals associated with your account are permanently deleted and deprovisioned.
  • Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by UK law.
  • Referral records are retained for 3 years.

Deletion is permanent and irreversible.


13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via push notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
